Our Coupon Codes

by MyVinylDesigner 27. October 2010 08:37

Our coupon codes are case-sensitive, one-time-use codes.  Coupon codes that are generated for special sales and promotions always have an accompanying expiration date.  If you ever have a problem with a coupon code not working, just go ahead and place your order without the code.  Then let us know that the code won't work, and we'll gladly go in and credit your account the difference.

Why can't I login to my account?

by MyVinylDesigner 26. October 2010 23:00

"Why can't I login to my account?  I've placed orders before.  When I try to get my password, all I get is an asterik."

In situations like this, we most likely don't have an account set up under your email.  If you previously purchased designs, you may have checked out as an "anonymous user" without going through an account.  If so, please go in an create an account here:   http://www.myvinyldesigner.com/SignUp.aspx

Doing so will help you have access to your order history, although we'll always help if needed.  Also, account users can select whether or not they want to be notified about sales, giveaways, contests, and announcements.

FAQ

Why can't I find my order in my order history?

by MyVinylDesigner 25. October 2010 04:28

"I did not create an account BEFORE I made my purchase but did create one after and am unable to find my order in the order history.  I want to download another format.  Can you help?"

Absolutely!  When you check out as an "anonymous user", meaning that you check out without going through an account, a viewable order history is not created on your end.  This means that you are unable to access your multiple downloads, other file formats, and order history.

So, let us know what order you need help with, what file format you need, and we'll gladly help you get these files.

FAQ

Understanding Our File Names

by MyVinylDesigner 5. January 2010 10:04
Imagine this file name ... H024_ItsgoodIV8.ai .... it's the way most of our files are titled:

H ... represents the category (FA=family, SE=seasonal, H=home, etc.)
024 ... represents the 3-digit product number
Itsgood ... represents the first 1-3 words of the quote
IV8 ... represents which collection the design is housed in (here, it's Collection Four, Add-OnPage 8)
.ai ... represents the file format (AI, EPS, GSD, SVG)

A design from our Modern Wall Art  or "layered art" collections will have one or more files titled like this:

ART12_G1.ai ... represents the first layer of this design

ART12_G2.ai ... represents the second layer of this design

ART12_G2compact.ai ... represents a compact, compressed version of a layer, in case you'd like to save vinyl by manually laying out the layer ie. leaves

ART12_G3all.ai ... represents all the layers as one cuttable object

Then, when a customer requests a design, you can quickly locate it at a glance by subject, by product number, by quote, and/or by collection.

Using the Modern Wall Art Collections

by MyVinylDesigner 8. October 2009 12:37

Our modern wall art layouts are created with a plug-and-play mindset because we know EXACTLY how much work is required on the retail end of a vinyl business.  What did we do?

1- Well, we placed the layouts on the catalog page using the Oracal 631 color swatches, so that your customers could visualize the layout in various color combinations.  You can truly go bold or soft with these layouts, depending on the look you want to achieve.  The new Oracal 631 vinyl designer colors give you some gorgeous options!

2- Secondly, we created the files in parts, in an effort to make the job easier for you.  We call it our "layered art" while others refer to it as  "subway art".  For instance, the ART03-F has three files, one for the red melon, one for the rind, and one for the pre-positioned embellishment and seeds.  Once you've enlarged the files to the size you wish to cut, simply cut the melon in your favorite shade of red, your embellishment and seeds in another color, and the rind in a matching shade of green.  It's meant to simplify the work process for you.

So have a lot of fun ... and share those finished photos!  If we choose your photo for our inspire-me photo gallery, we'll offer you a $20 shopping spree!

Window Shopping on Our Site

by MyVinylDesigner 8. October 2009 12:16

"Using key words in the search box is useful if I am looking for a specific design, a theme, or know the file name, but how can I just 'window shop'?  Your designs are so cute."

Gee, thanks!  There are a few navigational tools on our website that are meant to be enjoyable for customers:

1- As mentioned, the search box quickly helps when you are looking for a specific theme like "Valentines Day" or "chocolate",  a word-specific quote like "dance in the rain", or a specific file name like SE020.  Also, if you want to see all the designs created with a specific graphic, like "chef", just type in the name of the graphic and those designs will show.

2- There is also a sort feature to help sort designs by date, size, and popularity.  Just click on the NEWEST DESIGNS link at the top left of website, and click on the drop-down menu.

3-  To just "window shop", perhaps going to FIND DESIGNS-SINGLES is the best way to allow you to browse every single design.  Because there are well over 1500+ designs on the website, you may want to select a category to begin your browsing, but once you're in there, just leisurely scroll through each page.  The pages will then roll over into each category until all the single designs are viewed.

Why Our Web Pictures are Small

by MyVinylDesigner 26. September 2009 09:18

"My eyes aren't that great so I was wondering if there was a way to view your packages larger so I could see what I am buying.  It's obviously not a problem with the single items which I have purchased from you, but when it comes to the packages with multiple items, I can't see exactly what the designs look like.  Even after hitting the magnifying glass, it just isn't clear enough for me.  Can you help?"

Absolutely!  Each of our collections have a three letter code that when typed into the search box, will show all of the individual designs in that collection.  For example: (you can click on the below links too)

Master Collection 1 - FFF
Master Collection 2 - YYY
Master Collection 3 - ZZZ
Master Collection 4 - SSS
Master Collection 5 - UUU
Master Collection 6 - QQQ
Master Collection 7 - TTT
Master Collection 8 - CCC

Valentine Collection - VVV
Easter Collection - EEE
Patriotic Collection - NNN
Halloween Collection- GGG
Thanksgiving Collection - BBB
Christmas One Collection - 111
Christmas Two Collection - AAA

When an add-on page of designs is added to a collection, the page number of that add-on replaces the last letter in the above codes.  For instance, the add-on page 7 in Collection 4 (Home) is ..... SS7 ..... the add-on page 8 in the same collection is ..... SS8 .....  Add-on page 9 in the same collection is ..... SS9 ..... and so forth.  Here is an example showing the entire Collection 4 (Home) at once:

You can horizontally scroll in the above link to see all the other collections at a glance.
